Yes! You can upload an audio recording of yourself and the Custom Avatar's lips will sync to match your audio. To make the process even faster for future use, you can choose the voice cloning feature as well.

To create an avatar of a celebrity or any individual other than yourself, you must obtain their explicit consent statement. At HeyGen, we prioritize ethical practices and respect everyone's rights. Without proper consent, we cannot create a celebrity avatar.

We do not currently offer refunds for the current month's subscription of Instant Avatar Finetune, but you may cancel future payments at anytime. We do, however, offer a free re-do opportunity if you are dissatisfied with the lip sync quality.

No, backgrounds cannot be removed from regular Instant Avatars. To do so, you would need to upgrade to Instant Avatar Finetune, which utilizes the AI matting feature to remove backgrounds. However, please be aware that the quality of background removal depends on the quality of your footage. Factors such as obstructions in the background or uneven lighting can affect the effectiveness of AI background removal. Alternatively, you can also consider purchasing the 'Studio Avatar', which offers professional-level manual background removal.
