How to write prompts that deliver strong results
Video Agent can only create what you describe. A clear prompt gives you a usable video on the first attempt and saves credits on revisions.
What to include
Goal: what the video should achieve, such as educating, making an announcement or selling.
Audience: who will watch it, such as new customers, employees or students.
Length: how long it should be, for example, 30 seconds or 2 minutes.
Tone: for example, friendly, professional or energetic.
Essential elements: facts, names, figures or steps that must be included.
Call to action: what viewers should do at the end.
An ineffective prompt and an effective prompt
Weak: ‘Create a video about our new feature.’
Strong: ‘Create a 45-second video for existing customers to announce our new scheduling feature. Keep it professional but warm. Cover three points: booking meetings in one click, automatic reminders and calendar synchronisation. End with: Try it today in your dashboard.’
Use your own script
If you already have a script, paste it into the Script box in the options panel. Video Agent retains your wording. For help writing a script, select Script Writer. To learn more about writing for video, see Scripting.
Add files and instructions
Use Instructions for rules and Attachments for your own files.
Click + in the prompt box, or select Attachments in the options panel, to add your own images, slides or video. Video Agent will use them in the video.
Click Instructions to add rules for the entire video, such as ‘Keep every scene under 8 seconds’ or ‘Show the product name on screen in every scene.’
Click Brand System to use your saved colours, fonts and logo. To set them up, see Brand kit.
Tips
Put the most important point first.
Request one video at a time.
If the result is close but not quite right, ask for changes in the chat rather than starting again. See Revise your video in the chat.
