HeyGen’s Product Placement feature lets you integrate products directly into your avatars and videos, giving you high-quality visuals without a studio, camera, or physical samples. Whether you’re showcasing clothing, accessories, or even early product concepts, Product Placement helps you create polished, realistic imagery that brings your ideas to life.
To begin, open Apps in your HeyGen dashboard and select Product Placement. Upload an image of your product, or start with one of the sample images to get a feel for the workflow. Then upload your avatar, or use a sample avatar if you don’t have one ready. Within a few moments, HeyGen generates four variations of your avatar interacting with the product. You can review the set, make adjustments to your inputs, or choose the variation you want to move forward with.
After you’ve selected an image, it’s time to add your message. You can type your script directly into the interface or upload an audio file if the narration is already recorded. Choose a voice from HeyGen’s library that fits the tone you’re aiming for, and add a short guidance prompt if you want to shape the delivery. For example, you might write something like “friendly, energetic tone for a product launch.” Select your resolution, either 720p or 1080p, and click Generate Video. When the video is ready, it will appear in your Projects folder where you can preview, download, or share it.
You can also use Product Placement on an existing avatar through Nano Banana, HeyGen’s inpainting editor. Open your avatar, click Edit Look, and choose Nano Banana from the dropdown. A base look is selected automatically. In the prompt field, describe the edit you want to make, such as “place this item in the hand” or “add a bag over the shoulder.” Nano Banana applies the product to the avatar while keeping the rest of the look intact.
If the output needs refinement, simply adjust your prompt or regenerate. Each attempt produces a slightly different variation, which makes it easy to explore options until you land on the right look. You can also build more advanced compositions by stacking edits. Start with a base look, add an object, remove another, and continue iterating on the updated version as your new starting point.
Product Placement makes it possible to create realistic product visuals and videos in minutes, removing the need for costly photo shoots or physical prototypes. It gives marketers, agencies, and creators a fast, flexible way to bring their ideas to life with visuals that feel polished and cinematic.
