Kevin Williams has more than 40 years’ experience in executive leadership, sales and property across Georgia and North Carolina. Having spent the past four and a half years focusing primarily on commercial property, he recently launched his own firm, JKW Real Estate Group, which focuses on both residential and commercial property.

Starting his own company meant Kevin needed to build a recognisable brand. Video was an obvious way to maintain visibility, but producing it himself quickly became another job. He bought video-editing software, set up cameras and backdrops, and began teaching himself how to create videos.

‘I said, “This takes too much time and too much energy”,’ Kevin said. ‘I can’t see myself being able to keep up this pace.’

He discovered HeyGen after asking ChatGPT for a more straightforward approach. HeyGen White Glove then made the process even simpler.

Entrusting video production to HeyGen White Glove

HeyGen White Glove creates end-to-end videos for Kevin. Rather than managing production himself, he can share what he wants to create and leave the team to turn it into a finished video.

Kevin remembers receiving the first message asking whether the team could make a video for him. He sent them what he wanted and soon had a video ready to publish.

‘I was doing it all myself,’ Kevin said. ‘I'd get a message saying, “Do you want us to make a video for you?” And I'm like, “Yeah, I do.” So it comes back within a few minutes, and the next thing I know, I've put it out across all my social media. I'm like, “This is the life.”’

Kevin can now focus on the message, visual style and audience rather than the production work behind it.

‘It certainly is a lifesaver for me,’ he said.

Becoming recognisable to people he's never met

Kevin's ultimate aim is to generate leads, but with a new company, he first needs people to know who he is.

That's particularly important in commercial property, where relationships can take years to develop. Kevin wants JKW Real Estate Group to be associated with higher-end Class A and Class B properties, so his videos convey the professional image he wants prospective clients to see.

The strategy is already making him more recognisable. At a marketing event, someone Kevin didn't know recognised him from across a room of roughly 80 people.

‘People I don’t know walk up to me and say, “That’s the chap from the advert,”’ Kevin said. The person recognised him from the launch video HeyGen created for his company. ‘When you stand out from the crowd, that’s a good thing.’

For Kevin, that recognition matters in an industry where being remembered can open the door to the next conversation.

‘If you’re not at the forefront of people’s minds, you’re forgotten,’ he said. ‘You’ve got to be visible.’

Turning visibility into fresh conversations

Kevin's company is new, but he's already noticing a shift in who initiates conversations.

After years of posting on LinkedIn, Kevin is now being recognised by people he does not know. New contacts are also getting in touch, rather than Kevin always having to make the first move.

'People are starting to ring me now, rather than me going out and saying, "Hey, let's go for lunch, let's go for a coffee",' he said. 'They're now ringing me.'

Kevin plans to build on that momentum by publishing videos three to four times a week and expanding his presence on YouTube. He also wants to create longer educational content about investing in single-family homes, multi-family properties and commercial property.

Devoting more time to building relationships

Before HeyGen, creating videos meant using cameras, backgrounds and props, as well as spending time producing them at his desk. HeyGen White Glove allows Kevin to hand over that work and devote more time to building relationships.

‘You make my life so much easier,’ Kevin said. ‘I can spend more time having lunch, playing golf and meeting people, rather than sitting at my desk making videos, doing all that sort of thing and changing clothes.’

At 70, Kevin also sees technology as an opportunity to distinguish himself in an industry where many experienced commercial property professionals have yet to adopt AI video.

HeyGen White Glove enables him to consistently put his face and expertise in front of potential clients without turning video production into another job. And for a new property firm seeking to build its profile, the early signs are encouraging: people Kevin has never met already recognise him.
