This initiative highlights companies excelling in core business wins like customer growth, market expansion, or groundbreaking achievements that define their industries.

Fast Company Next Big Things in Tech

Fast Company’s annual “Next Big Things in Tech” list highlights 138 technologies across 28 categories, showcasing innovations like AI for disaster response and ethical supply chains. The rise of AI is revolutionizing industries with increasingly advanced capabilities, from multimodal processing to problem-solving autonomy. These breakthroughs promise immediate benefits and long-term global impact, reshaping industries and inspiring future progress. 

HeyGen’s role? Making video production less daunting. Businesses rely on videos as a primary way to communicate with customers, but they’ve had to put up with high production and translation costs. With HeyGen, a multinational company executive can upload an employee announcement and let the tool recreate a lifelike video avatar saying the same thing in a hundred different languages.

Forbes Next Billion-Dollar Startups

Forbes and TrueBridge Capital Partners unveiled their annual list of the 25 U.S. venture-backed companies poised to surpass $1 billion valuations. Over the past decade, 58% of the list became unicorns, with notable successes like DoorDash and Figma. 

This year’s selection, dominated by AI-driven innovations, reflects emerging trends across industries. HeyGen was among the standout startups, highlighting photorealistic AI-generated avatars, cost-efficiency, offering speed, and creative flexibility.

Business Insider 85 of the Most Promising Startups

Business Insider asked venture capitalists to highlight 85 of the most promising U.S. startups. The only criterion was that VCs had to name companies they have no financial ties to. In 2024, AI companies dominated the list. Alex Kayyal at Lightspeed Venture Partners highlighted HeyGen, pointing to securing $60 million in funding, reaching a valuation of over $500 million, and showcasing unprecedented growth in democratizing AI-driven video content creation.

TEDAI San Francisco

At TEDAI San Francisco 2024, our Co-Founder and CEO, Joshua Xu, took the stage for a panel discussion, “Breaking Boundaries: The Future of Image and Video Generation in AI,” alongside Alexandru Costin, Vice President of Generative AI and Sensei at Adobe, Joe Burfitt, CEO and Founder of Modify, and moderator Davis Treybig, Investor at Innovation Endeavors. 

During the panel, Joshua discussed AI advancements in image and video generation, highlighting HeyGen’s innovations, such as Interactive Avatar. The panel also explored AI’s transformative impact on creativity, emphasizing hyper-personalized content and user-friendly tools. Joshua underscored the importance of empowering creators and brands to produce scalable, culturally resonant content while simplifying workflows and maintaining high quality.
